Colin is a tax advisor with 25 years’ experience working within the technology and biotechnology sectors. With deep knowledge of the UK tax system and its interaction with life sciences, he offers expert guidance on company sales, restructurings and other complex tax matters.
He is a former chair of the UK Bioindustry Association’s Finance and Tax Advisory Committee, and continues to liaise with HMRC, HM Treasury and Innovate UK on policy matters.
Colin has contributed to key government legislative reforms and tax credit reviews, and he continues to play an active role within the BIA.
Gill is a Chartered Tax Adviser with more than 25 years’ experience advising clients ranging from multinational corporations to startups.
Her expertise includes corporate restructuring, cross-border tax matters, loan relationships, intellectual property, and R&D reliefs, making her a trusted adviser for businesses navigating intricate tax challenges.
She joined Andersen in 1997, followed by an in-house role at Prudential and a position in Ernst & Young’s International Tax Services group, focusing on complex international tax matters. Since 2013, Gill has collaborated closely with Colin, specialising in tax issues faced by biotechnology and technology companies.
Emma has many years’ experience working in science communications across a broad range of areas but with a focus on veterinary and life sciences.
Her work covers content management, editorial, marketing, web and social media strategy. She built the market presence and prominence of the leading UK biotech tax advisory firm before it was acquired by a larger business.
